Adult ADHD and Autism Assessments

picture of brain
With lots more information about neurodivergence accessible in our culture and rates of diagnosis increasing, many individuals are left wondering if they have Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism (also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD), or AuDHD traits. These unique neurotypes can impact an individual's life due to the different ways the brain processes information, affecting focus and communication. It's not uncommon for these neurotypes to go undiagnosed, leaving individuals frustrated and unable to get to the "root" of some of their life difficulties. Neurodivergence can co-occur with other mood disorders including depression, anxiety, and OCD.

With proper diagnosis and treatment, Autistic and/or ADHD adults can learn to better manage their traits and symptoms and lead more fulfilling lives. Participating in an assessment by a trained and experienced provider is the first step in determining if a diagnosis is present. Mockingbird Carolinas is proud to offer these specialized assessments to adults (18+) to screen for and diagnose ADHD and Autism. We offer two screening/assessment options for those seeking validation of their neurotypes (see below). There is no need to be a current client of Mockingbird Carolinas to participate in this assessment. Follow up counseling at Mockingbird Carolinas may be an option based on availability and treatment goals following the assessment but is not a "must."

Option 2: Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (CCA)

Fee covers the time taken for assessment interview, all additional time spent completing documentation and related tasks, and follow-up session (completed virtually or in-person).

The CCA consists of questions regarding your traits, history, and challenges beyond just those thought to be related to neurodivergence.

A comprehensive diagnostic report based on the data acquired during the assessment process is completed and a copy provided to you.

The wait time for the diagnostic report ranges from only 1 – 3 weeks.
